Educational Facilities

Schools run on academic calendars. Work that disrupts the school day or misses a summer window creates real problems for administrators and GCs alike. We install sheet metal systems and HVAC in K-12 schools, community colleges, and university buildings across Oregon and Southwest Washington. Our installs are built to last through the decades these buildings need them to.

The Work Is Different Here

Educational facilities have tight windows. Summer break and winter break are when the major work happens. Miss the window, and you’re doing occupied-building work during the school year. That means noise restrictions, limited access, and unhappy administrators.

Indoor air quality matters more than people realize. Students and staff spend most of their day in these buildings. Systems that don’t perform affect attendance, focus, and health.

Exterior metal, mechanical room enclosures, gutter and flashing systems, ductwork. This stuff has to outlast several generations of students. We build it to do that. When a summer schedule gets tight and the field doesn’t match the drawings, our in-house fab shop means we build the adjustment and install it the same week. Projects don’t sit waiting on outside suppliers.

We’ve been part of the apprenticeship pipeline at Chemeketa Community College since the beginning. Our sheet metal manager teaches fourth-year apprentices there. We know educational facilities from the inside.

Common Questions About Educational Facilities

Can you schedule work around the academic calendar?
Yes. We plan major installation and renovation work for summer and winter breaks whenever possible. If work has to happen during the school year, we coordinate with your facilities team to minimize disruption.
Do you work on older school buildings with outdated systems?
Yes. A lot of Oregon’s school buildings have aging mechanical infrastructure. We assess what’s there, work with what can be reused, and replace what needs to go. We don’t oversell.
What about indoor air quality requirements for schools?
IAQ standards for schools are driven by Oregon code and district policy. We build to those requirements. If you need documentation for a grant or compliance audit, we provide it.
Do you work with school district facilities departments directly, or only through GCs?
Both. We work as a sub to general contractors on new construction and major renovations, and we work directly with district facilities departments on maintenance and repair.
What's your service area?
Our commercial team serves the four corners of Oregon and Southwest Washington.
