The Scope
Measure and install aluminum composite wall panels on a rooftop mechanical structure at the top of Kelley Engineering Center. 85 linear feet. 13 panels, evenly sized and spaced. Structure was 20 feet wide and 15 feet tall — at the top of a four-story building.
The Challenge
No equipment access at that height. Every panel had to come up on an exterior elevator and get carried by hand. The panels were large and heavy enough that installation required three people on every lift — coordinating placement, shimming, and attachment simulta
The Job
The crew brought panels up one at a time, mounted each to structural framing, and shimmed them to line up perfectly across the full run. Thirteen panels. Four stories up. Off ladders.
The Result
Finished on time. No incidents. The panels are clean, evenly spaced, and level. The GC was satisfied with the outcome.
